Bedroom furniture has arrived!

The new beds and desks were delivered last week, here is my daughter, Kaitlyn, checking out the new furniture.

Finally, a floor for the basement!

Whenever we do a remodel project we run into unexpected issues. Our original plan was to stain the concrete in the basement TV room. There was a problem getting the carpet glue off the floor so we had to go to plan B. We didn't want to go back to carpet in that room so we chose an oak laminate flooring. Denise, Leah, and Leah's husband Andy got their workout carrying 42 cases of flooring and underlayment down stairs last night.

how Theta alumnae spend their Friday night...

Trying to finish up painting the bedroom trim a couple of Fridays ago, three alumnae (one not even on the FCB!) spent a few hours painting. We made a pretty good dent then finally finished up in the next few days!

The TV room progress

The TV room has been painted. We are no longer going to be staining, we are currently looking at flooring options for this room. Once we decide what will be done I'll update everyone.

Bedrooms

The hallway full of painting supplies, mattresses, desks, and the old hand towels from the bathroom.

Many of the bedrooms are done being painted. Only one room in the main hallway and the three rooms in the back hallway remain. Once the final details are finished we'll start putting the furniture back. Here are pictures to show each of the four colors. The beds in rooms 1,2, and 4 were removed over the weekend. New beds will be delivered to these rooms on Friday. New desks will be going into room 2 (one of the triples)

Bathroom Paint

The bathroom paint is almost complete, only the stall doors and painting the cabinet remain. Notice the old hand towels are missing!
